§ Mr. MayhewThe accuracy of speed measuring devices is a matter for chief officers of police. The traffic committee of the Association of Chief Police Officers has recently conducted a review of hand-held radar speed meters in the light of a recent court case, and has concluded that the radar devices now in use by police forces in this country are accurate when used in accordance with the operating instructions and by officers who have been properly trained.
