§ Mr. KingThe potential implications for both direct and indirect taxes are being studied in our review of the rating system. We plan to publish a consultation document, on alternatives to domestic rates, in the autumn.
§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the levels of domestic and commercial rates in England; and whether he intends to impose a limit on the level of future increases.
