§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThe future of potato guarantee arrangements will depend on the nature and the timing of the introduction of a European Community regime for potatoes. We are discussing the question of future support for the potato market with the industry as a whole. Our aim is to ensure that the best possible conditions are provided for the future development of the industry in the interests of producers and users of potatoes alike.
