§ Mr. MayhewIn England and Wales in 1979, eight persons were proceeded against for offences under the Indecent Advertisements Act 1889 and seven were found guilty.

(2) what the provisional figures are for prosecution and conviction under the Vagrancy Act 1824 in 1980.
