§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithDuring the past year the Government have done a great deal to promote co-operation in agriculture. The life of the co-operative grant scheme has been extended and rates of grant have been increased substantially. The Central Council for Agricultural and Horticultural Co-operation has been re-organised to improve its effectiveness in encouraging co-operation and we have increased the funds available to the central council.
