§ Mr. David Watkinsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment which local housing authorities have informed him of their termination of house building activities.
§ Mr. StanleyFrom the date of receipt of the Department's circular 19/80, all authorities were requested not to enter into further contracts for house building. They are, however, free to continue expenditure under contracts entered into before receipt of the circular. They may also now make new commitments which do not entail expenditure in 1980–81.
