HC Deb 12 January 1981 vol 996 cc472-3W
Mr. Lennox-Boyd

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the estimated cost of restoration of the Old Bobbin Mill; Lakeside, Cumbria; how much money has been spent so far; what are the estimated running costs of the mill; and whether they will be wholly chargeable on public funds.

Mr. Monro

The estimated cost of restoration of Stott Park, bobbin mill is about £400,000, of which £125,020 has been spent so far. The rest will largely be spent during 1981. Running costs have not yet been settled. The costs of staff and annual maintenance will be chargeable on public funds, but be offset by receipts for admissions and sales.
