§ Sir George YoungResponsibility for the registration of private hospitals under the Nursing Homes Act 1975 is delegated to area health authorities. The Clementine Churchill hospital, Harrow, is registered with Brent and Harrow area health authority as a nursing home. I understand that the authority is currently considering an application from the hospital for the premises to be registered also as a maternity home. Information on the numbers and designation of staff employed in the hospital is not available centrally.
