§ 21. Mr. Peter Bottomleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received from the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress for an increase in child benefit.
§ Mr. BrittanThe CBI budget representations to the Chancellor did not include any call for an increase in child benefit. The TUC has called for an increase, in its economic review, to £6 in November 1981 and £7 in April 1982.
