§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are the differences of view between Her Majesty's Government and the European Economic Community Commission about the principles of the common agricultural policy, as implied in line 2 of paragraph 2 of European Economic Community explanatory memorandum 12271/80 submitted to the House on 8 January.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI accept in general the three broad principles which the Commission adduce, as stated at the top of page 2 of its paper "Reflections in the Common Agricultural Policy" (12271/80). But there could be differences of view on how the statement of principles was interpreted and applied.
