§ Mr. ParkinsonThe trade-related measures taken by the Government in response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan were announced by my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal on 24 January 1980. They remain in force. Our policy is to continue the development of mutually advantageous trade. Contacts with the Soviet Government for this purpose will take place as necessary.
