§ Mr. WakehamThe chairman of the British Steel Corporation presented his proposed plan to Ministers on 1 December. He indicated that it should not be regarded as definitive in all respects until the position in the United States market had been clarified. The Government will announce their response to the plan as early as possible in the new year.
