§ Mr. Humphrey AtkinsWe support the implementation of the Egypt-Israel peace treaty and have no wish to undermine other aspects of the Camp David process. We are convinced that if a workable agreement acceptable to the palestinian people is to be achieved in the autonomy talks, early involvement of the Palestinians themselves will be essential. At the moment the autonomy talks appear to be acceptable neither to the Palestinians nor to the majority of Arab States.
