§ Mr. John Grantasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will raise at the United Nations the threat to small States of invasion by armed mercenaries, such as the recent attempted coup in the Seychelles, with a view to obtaining international action to prevent further actions of this kind.
§ Mr. HurdWe are already participating in a committee which has been set up by the United Nations General Assembly to examine possible international solutions to the problem of mercenaries. In addition, the Security Council is seized of the question of the attempted coup in the Seychelles.
