§ Mr. Blaker[pursuant to his reply, 4 December 1981, c.265]: Estimated expenditure on Trident in financial years 1980–81 and 1981–82 was about £4 million to £5 million and £60 million respectively. Expenditure on Trident to date remains within these estimates. Current expenditure is controlled by the Vote system, not by target heading.
