§ Mr. Geoffrey Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will take steps to place an immediate ban on the import into the United Kingdom of anthracite and coal from South Africa.
§ Mr. ParkinsonSuch a ban would not be consistent with our international obligations, but the Government have agreed that the National Coal Board should seek to reduce all imports of coal to the irreducible minimum.
