§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThere are no comprehensive statistics of redundancies. But the number of redundancies, involving 10 or more employees, reported to the Manpower Services Commission as due to occur in Stockport employment office area in the period May 1979 to March 1981 was 3,586, of which 744 were in engineering—SIC orders VII, VIII and IX.
