§ Mr. Georgeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the chief constable of Kent as to (a) the cost of the two inquiries by Kent CID into the Rochester greyhound betting case of 27 May 1978, and (b) the responsibility for payment for its inquiries.
§ Mr. MayhewI understand from the chief constable of Kent that the cost of the inquiry cannot readily be obtained. The cost will be met by the police authority out of the county police fund in the normal way.
