§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will consider issuing guidance to education authorities on access to pupils' school records by the divorced parent who does not have custody of the child.
§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. and learned Friend has no plans to issue guidance on this matter. It seems best that the sensitive questions which may arise in such cases should be dealt with locally by those familiar with the circumstances, having regard to the best interests of the child.
