§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what were the special factors which caused him to allow medical practitioners to increase category D fees by at least 15 per cent. having regard to the limitation placed upon the level of the National Health Service and public services pay rises to half that percentage or less.
§ Dr. VaughanI understand that "category D" is a term used by the British Medical Association to describe certain medical work not paid for from public funds. Accordingly, the fees recommended for such work by the association are a matter for it.
