§ Mr. Richard Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish in the Official Report a table to show the total number of young people entering the youth opportunities programme and the number of adults whose jobs are sustained under the short-time working compensation scheme between April 1980 and January 1981, as compared with the same period in the previous year, for the local authority districts of Oldham and Kirklees and the Metropolitan county councils of Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe youth opportunities programme financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year. Figures can be given only for 1 April 1979 to 31 March 1980 and for 1 April 1980 to 28 February 1981. The details are as follows:
