§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will now give estimates of the effect of his Budget measures on the retail price index and the tax and price index compared with the values they would have if personal allowances were increased in line with section 22 (2) of the Finance Act 1977 and excluding the effect of increases in duties.
