§ 44. Mr. John Carlisleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek to encourage local authorities to make sporting facilities available to unemployed persons at a reduced rate.
§ Mr. MonroSome local authorities are already doing this and all of them have powers to vary their charges in response to local circumstances. I do not think that advice from the Government is necessary. The Sports Council is in close touch with local authorities.
