§ Mr. Viggers
asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) how many persons listed on the professional and executive register have found jobs through that medium in the last 12 months;
(2) what percentage of those seeking jobs through the professional and executive register are successful through that medium;
(3) how many people currently are listed as seeking jobs on the professional and executive register.
§ Mr. Jim Lester
[pursuant to his reply, 8 August 1980, c. 409–10]: I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that in the 12 months up to June 1980, 6,274 people found jobs through PER.167W
This represents 3.4 per cent. of the total number of people enrolling with PER during that period.
There are currently 116,264 people enrolled on the PER register.
