HC Deb 27 October 1980 vol 991 c16W
Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many schemes involving tenant participation in the running of housing estates are in operation in Scotland; and what steps he is taking to encourage their spread.

Mr. Rifkind:

Information about the number of schemes involving tenant participation in the running of housing estates is not available centrally. In order to encourage the development of the involvement of tenants in housing management, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has grant-aided the establishment, earlier this year, of the tenant participation advisory service operated by the Scottish Council for Social Service and has offered to continue the grant until 1983.
