asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report the 1979 figures for days lost in the National Health Service due to industrial action.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

[pursuant to his reply, 7 July, c.61]: In 1979, 621,000 working days were lost in the National Health Service due to industrial action, virtually all of them in the first three months of the year.
