§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) whether the members of the Welsh Health Council referred to in paragraphs 40 to 44 of "The 175W Structure and Management of the National Health Service in Wales" will be chosen by the Secretary of State and appointed so as to represent various sections of expertise in the National Health Service;
(2) whether the membership of the proposed Welsh Health Council will include democratically elected persons from local government in Wales; and, if so, how many;
(3) what will be the relationship between the proposed Welsh Health Council and his Department; and what machinery will exist to ensure that the influence of the new body upon policy making in his Department will be effective.
