§ Mr. FoxThe Department has recently reviewed the potential environmental effects of commercial PCP. It was concluded that PCP is a valuable biocide. Its environmental behaviour is fairly well understood, and its use does not appear to be displaying adverse environmental effects. This view was endorsed by the Advisory Committee on Pesticides when it reviewed the relevant uses of this substance. Further research has started on the importance of various impurities and combustion products.
