HC Deb 24 November 1980 vol 994 c23W
54. Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Attorney-General whether he will make a statement about delays in providing transcripts of court proceedings needed for appeals.

The Attorney-General

The average time being taken to provide a transcript for the Criminal Division of the Court of Appeal has been reduced by one-third during the current year and should be further reduced.

There has also been some improvement in the time taken to provide transcripts for the hearing of appeals in civil cases.
