§ Mr. Les Huckfieldasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will list the numbers of prosecutions undertaken under legislation governing the activities and operations of the Performing Right Society in each of the years from 1975 to 1979, and to date in 1980.
§ Mr. Whitelaw[pursuant to his reply, 11 November 1980, c. 150]: The records available to me, which may be incomplete, show that the numbers of persons proceeded against in England and Wales for offences against all subsections of section 21 of the Copyright Act 1956 were none in 1975 and 1976, 10 in 1977, and none in 1978; information for 1979 is not yet available.
