§ Q11. Mr. Thomas Coxasked the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on her visit to Greece.
§ The Prime MinisterI visited Greece from 22 to 24 of September at the invitation of the Greek Prime Minister. My talks with Mr. Rallis, his ministerial colleagues, and with President Karamanlis, covered a wide range of international issues, including NATO and Community matters and also bilateral political and commercial questions. I also met the Leader of the Opposition. I believe that the visit strengthened our excellent relations with Greece on the eve of Greek accession to the European Community; and I welcomed the establishment of closer personal contacts in a country which has long been a good friend of Britain.
