§ Mr. Whitlockasked the Minister of Transport whether the cash limit of £549 million for the Roads, &c., England Vote for 1980–81 is adequate to ensure the planned expenditure of £302 million for trunk road construction at 1979 prices.
§ Mr. FowlerProgrammes within the roads cash limit are managed as a single block. The planned pattern of expenditure can be affected by many factors beyond my control. It is too early to say what the outcome on any programme within the block will be.
