§ Mr. Onslowasked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will take action to discourage the re-use of official envelopes, in view of the fact that once these have passed through electronic sorting equipment their re-use will jam the machine; and whether he is satisfied that the general public are aware of this problem.
§ Mr. ChannonGovernment Departments are aware of this possibility and the use of gummed labels is being reduced as part of the planned change to public posting methods.
