§ 33. Mrs. Knightasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to rectify the situation whereby wines fermented in Great Britain from imported grape concentrates pay a lower duty than wines fermented in England from grapes grown by English fanners.
§ Mr. LawsonWine and made-wine are different products and have long been subject to separate duty rates which take account of their differing markets. I have no present plans to alter this position.
