HC Deb 21 May 1980 vol 985 cc231-2W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if benefits payable under the pneumoconiosis, byssinosis and miscellaneous diseases benefit scheme are affected by any provision contained in the Social Security (No. 2) Bill; and if so, if he will give details.

Mr. Prentice

[pursuant to his reply, 21 April 1980, c.51–52]: The provisions of the Bill do not affect personal benefits available under this scheme, but increases of those benefits payable in respect of unemployability and for a dependant wife are affected because their equivalents under the Social Security Act are affected by clause 1 of the Bill.
