§ Mr. Gryllsasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much money is being made available to voluntary organisations to deal with drunks in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. AlisonMany voluntary organisations whose activities include helping people with drinking problems receive grants from public funds. It is not possible to say how much of this money is spent on work related to alcohol misuse but in the financial year 1979–80 grants amounting to about £90,000 were paid to voluntary bodies whose main aim is to deal with alcohol related problems.
