§ Mrs. Sally OppenheimI have powers under the Prices Act 1974 to regulate the prices of fresh or subsidised food and certain other articles. Powers to control prices may also arise from a report by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission on a monopoly reference under the Fair Trading Act 1973 or in a competition reference under the Competition Act 1980.
