§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, North-East on 3 March, what responses he has had from directors of social services and voluntary organisations following his Department's letter to them about the standards of education in community homes; whether any changes are to be made; and if he is satisfied that progress will be made to improve standards.
§ Sir George YoungWe have received no specific responses to the letter. We are planning meetings at regional level for representatives both of education and social services to discuss the report and hope that these will help those concerned to decide what action might be taken.
