HC Deb 08 May 1980 vol 984 cc244-6W
Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are the most recent figures of the levels of frozen fish imports from Canada, and the duties payable; and what representations he has received of allegations of dumping on the British market.

Mr. Buchanan-Smith

Imports of frozen fish—excluding shellfish—from Canada during the first quarter of 1980 totalled 3,225 tonnes, all of which complied with the appropriate rate of duty in

the Community's common customs tariff. I am not aware that any of these imports has given rise to any allegation of dumping.
