§ The Prime MinisterAs my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade informed the House on 4 February, the Government believe that trade should continue where this is genuinely in the interest of both countries. We continue ready to act with our allies against trade which is not in our interest. My right hon. Friend maintains contact with organisations concerned with trade with the Soviet Union.
