§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will now set up a public inquiry into certain selected groups of deaths in police custody.
§ Mr. Whitelaw:I shall await the report of the Select Committee on Home Affairs on the subject of deaths in police 640W custody before considering what further action, if any, might be appropriate.
