§ Mr. TebbitThe granting of air transport licences for British airlines is a matter for the CAA. My Department is responsible for the issue of operating permits for foreign airlines. Since no application for transatlantic services from Speke has been made to the CAA or to my Department the question of the grant of permission does not arise.
