§ Mr. TebbitMy Department imposes no restrictions on the employment of foreign nationals by Trinity House or other lighthouse authorities. The selection of employees to serve on their light vessels is a matter for Trinity House. I understand, however, that they are ready to consider foreign nationals who have any necessary work permit and the appropriate qualifications for the post.
