§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why Mr. Alain-Franck Rosenberg was refused entry into the United Kingdom on Wednesday 19 March at Gatwick airport in view of the fact that he is a French citizen carrying a valid French passport; and under what statutory authority he may refuse entry into the United Kingdom of passport holders of other member countries of the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. RaisonMr. Rosenberg was refused leave to enter on the grounds that his exclusion was conducive to the public good, in accordance with the policy on scientologists. Nationals of other EEC member States are not exempt from the provisions of the Immigration Act 1971.
