§ Dr. BoysonEstimates at outturn prices in the financial year 1978–79, the latest for which figures are available, suggest that the average, gross recurrent institutional cost to local authorities in England and Wales per enrolment in adult education centres was £36: that the comparable net cost, taking into account income from fees and other sources, was £27; and that the average income from tuition fees per enrolment in these centres was £8, and that from sales and examination fees was £1. The comparable figures for Norfolk are £39, £21, £17 and £1 respectively.
