§ 29. Mr. David Priceasked the Minister of Transport what action he has taken since taking office to promote a common transport policy within the EEC as laid down by the Treaty of Rome.
§ Mr. FowlerI and my officials have taken an active part in the work of the Community in this field and we have made significant progress on a number of issues. At the December Transport Council, agreement was reached on all six inland transport matters under consideration including a package of proposals on road haulage within the Community which marked a further step towards the liberalisation the United Kingdom has always sought.
