HC Deb 13 March 1980 vol 980 c683W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will consider allowing new and separate distribution systems of gas being set up to serve a number of concentrations of United Kingdom industry.

Mr. Norman Lamont

I shall consider any proposals made to me on this subject, but under present legislation the British Gas Corporation has certain statutory rights where the gas is to be supplied by pipe for fuel use.
