HC Deb 12 March 1980 vol 980 c569W
27. Mr. John H. Osborn

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what consideration the EEC Council of Ministers has given to the effects of the concentration of new investment within the so-called "golden triangle", between Frankfurt, Milan and Paris, and any remedies which might be provided.

Mr. Lawson

I am not aware that the Council of Ministers has specifically considered this subject, at least in these terms. However, the Community's regional policy is intended to help those areas which are relatively deprived in terms of the flow of new investment.
