§ Mr. Newensasked the Minister of Transport (1) if he has yet received an application from London Transport to close the Epping-Ongar section of the Central Line;
(2) if he will refuse to give his consent to any application to close the Epping-Ongar section of the Central Line in view of the refusal of the Essex county council to provide financial support.
§ Mr. FowlerI have received no such application, but it would clearly be wrong for me to anticipate decisions on such a proposal before receiving the views both of the relevant organisations and of the public.
