asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the percentage of people arrested for indictable crimes for each year from 1970 to 1978 in the Metropolitan Police area who were aged (a) 10 to 14 years, (b) 15 years, (c) 16 years, (d) 17 years, (e) 18 years, (f) 19 years, (g) 20 years, (h) 21 years, (i) 21 to 25 years and (j) 25 to 30 years; and if he will give the figures for the United Kingdom as a whole for these age groups.

The information readily available on the numbers of persons of different ages arrested for indictable offences in the Metropolitan Police district is published in the annual report of the given in the following table.
